Nominations for the International Idiots Club Idiot of the Year and Idiot Hall of Fame awards are due by April 16th, 2011.

It’s really easy to make a nomination. Simply use our contact form – found here - to submit the name of your nomination for the Idiot of the Year and the reason why you think your nominee should be selected.

You can also make a nomination for the Idiot Hall of Fame. Any idiot would know you do it the same way. You use the contact form and send the name of the person whom you are nominating along with your reason for nominating that particular Idiot.

So what if you want to nominate yourself? Go ahead…but you have to figure out how to do it on your own.

There is only one catch…you have to nominate a bonafide Idiot with an active International Idiots Club membership.

The International Idiots Club meets at Boomerang Billy’s Beach Bar on Saturday and Sunday afternoons on most weekends. You will find us gathering on the beach patio behind the Surf Inn around 1:00 PM.

On Saturday April 2, 2011 the International Idiots Club elected a new Idiot Board of Directors.

Leslie Blasing is the International Idiots Club’s new Entertainment Director. From time to time she will post events in the local area that might be fun for members of the International Idiots Club to attend together.

The Brownsville Historical Association is offering a tour of Brownsville’s Historic Movie Theaters on April 12, 2011. Relive the good ol’ days of Brownsville’s theatres with this unique tour! Lead by BHA Collections Manager Javeir Garcia, guests will visit the Capitol, Victoria and Majestic Theatres, where they will recieve a behind the scenes tour of these locations. A wine reception will be held at the museum afterwards.

Spaces for this tour are limited, therfore pre-registration and payment are REQUIRED. Tickets are $20 for non-members and $10 for BHA members. Last day for ticket sales is Tuesday, April 12, 2011. For more information or to purchase your tickets, contact the BHA at 956-541-5560.
